Bangtail Trail

After climbing up the first couple thousand feet we ran in a bear on the trail! He was just to the right of the singletrack and so we backed up and let him cross over. It took a few minutes but eventually he sauntered along his merry way munching berries and flowers. I was scared but it was super cool to be so close to him

At the end of the ride I ran into a fellow who asked me about my bike. He was a devout Maverick rider from Truckee, CA. We chatted about the dropper seat post and how great it is and the suspension quality. Then he told me about our fantastic Ethan and how he helped him out at the Downieville Classic a couple years back. He remembered Ethan because he of how nice, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and genuine he is. If you haven’t yet met him and all the boys at the helm at the Maverick global headquarters in Golden then you should!!

Although I didn’t get to race these past few weeks it was amazing all of the rides I did and the people I met along the way. So many great folks and so many inquiries about the ML8.
I want to help get the word out, cuz these machines are unbelievable and I hope to pass along the good word!

Now I have to get back into race shape not eating, and drinking and dancing shape…although I did become a pro at that!
