Nuptual #3- Carey and Stacey-Bozeman, MT-6 days later

Last on the stop was a visit to Bozeman for a family wedding up at Bridger Bowl.

Needless to say I’m pretty exhausted from the drive but the local bike shop said we had to check out The Bangtail trail. It’s a point to point that is located across from the ski resort. It’s really cool. Basically it climbs then rides across a rolling ridge for about 20 miles then drops back down.

Nuptual #2-Brent and McKenzie- Vail, Co-2 days later

Whew! This one was a bit crazier and somehow this is the only picture I captured that was somehow bike related.

We rode a sick, sweet, dirty nasty trail (awesome) in Vail the day of the ceremony.
The Lost Lake trail. We found the lake and took a dip then pressed on. We got back to the hotel, showered and dressed with literally ten minutes to spare! But we had to get in the ride of course…had to free up some room for more food, booze and cake.
It’s not easy, the wedding tour. Uggg, hope I don’t loose too much fitness. ( Sorry if that sounded way bike geeky)

The wedding party

They nailed it! As far as weddings go this one was top notch and fun!

Congrats Eszter and Chris!!

ripping fast trail and pretty flowers=a wonderful Colorado day

I’m guessing that most of you have ridden the Snodgrass trail in CB. It is fast and quick and tons of fun. It starts out with a good steep climb then sends you through amazing singletrack that is swoopy and smooth. There are killer wildflowers this time of year there so I suggest you plan a visit soon. I always have a fantastic time.

The ML8 doesn’t truly get to shine on this ride since its not too techy but the coolest part for me is that I get to really work on cornering at high speeds with the dropper seatpost. I’ve really started to get good at it! In fact I can’t imagine not having it now. Some say that it doesn’t make that much difference but it does! I have gotten so much faster on every descent, fast, techy, rooty, you name it.

Riding the ML8-my favorite Mav machine

I love this bike

Me and the Bride

She also happens to be the reigning world 24hr Solo Champion!!

Where in the world have I been?

Don’t worry I didn’t run off and get hitched!

I’ve just been on the wedding tour 2010.

Nuptual # 1: Eszter and Chris (my college roommate and adventure buddy)

This one was the same day as the Crested Butte epic 40-mile MSC race. We had a barefoot ceremony overlooking the always stunning Mt. CB and then the wedding party took to their wild hogs (mountain bikes) and did some riding. Snodgrass and Upper Upper. It was super fun and we even caught a glimpse of the racers coming around from Gothic towards the finish line. A part of me was way bummed that I missed the race…yet after talking to Jenny Smith (2nd place finisher) I was slightly relieved! Ha!

Maverick #1

It’s official we have the stars and bars for a year!! By the skin of my teeth I made it over the line on a flat in first. Thank you bike gods!
